This is best Pearl Silk I've used that's still in production. It's a smooth silk that knots well and resists catching and fraying in use. Spools are generally knot free (I've found large capacity spools usually have a few), but this isn't guaranteed. 
 
This listing is for one spool only. Label colour and batch number may vary. Other sizes available, please see last picture.
 
Size 6 is approximately 0.47 mm in diameter and is the thickest of the Pearsall's silks. It suitable for larger pearls and beads. The spool contains approximately 147 metres of silk.
